H Joan Chaplin – Moonsilver (1979)
[From ‘Bohemian Bagatelle‘, published 1979 by the Bohemians]
MOONSILVER
A night made of magic
Moonsilver and gold,
A night which prophets
Had often foretold.
The stars shining brightly
In Heaven above
Brought news to the earth
That God is Love.
In Bethlehem’s Stable
This God of Love lies,
Babe in a Manger
In earthly guise.
All nations may come in
Through that stable door,
At the dear Babe’s Crib
Kneel and adore.
