I SHALL REMEMBER

I shall remember

One summer’s day.

In a bleak December

With skies of grey;

I shall close my eyes

And again behold

The lovely radiance

Of blue and gold.

Shimmer of sunlight

Trees robed in green.

Such peace and stillness

A perfect scene,

Would that this day

Could last forever,

A memory of Magic

To hold and treasure.
