Towards Sleep
Tempo of tiredness favours andante
The sunlight transforming from sharp and vivacious
Lies slanting and beautiful over the roof-tops in
Afternoon’s lengthening, cushioned unwavering
On running emerald islands of moss.
The business of living seems muted, neglected
Goes aimlessly seeping
Right out of my heavy thoughts’ keeping
In quiet undulations of lack of possession.
Oblivion welcomes and void and negation
With hope that tomorrow may focus and quicken.
