Don Ray (left) and Frank Jenkins at St Peter’s Church, Bohemia. Don had attended St Peter’s since he was a small boy and Frank had been organist for over 40 years. The sham marriages scandal hit national headlines in 2009 and the church closed in January 2010. The last ever service was held on Monday 31st October 2011 when the parish of St Peter and St Paul was dissolved and split between four surrounding parishes (Christchurch, St Matthews, Trinity Church and St John’s in Pevensey Road).
