Hello Sarah Janes, I was most impressed by your first edition as editor, and I think you are exactly the kind of young blood this town needs in publications. You have succeeded in making the The Voice more hip, controversial and current in one fell swoop – just as the waves of Hastings and St Leonards crest into cool.

You are also the only other person that I have met here who has taken any interest in St Leonard, and his work as a patron saint. Is there a festival here?

Yes, the Feast Day of St Leonard de Noblac, (picture) patron saint of prisoners and women in labour, is Nov 6 – so mark that date in your diary. – Sarah Janes
