Henry VIIIs fifth wife?
Who was Henry VIII’s fifth wife? This was a question posed at St Peter’s Church Hall. Stewart Buchan writes:
Once again, Saturday May 3rd, proved St Peter’s Church Hall the place to be. The Quiz Night was a huge success, and very well attended. The atmosphere – well fuelled – was wonderful, with laughter interrupted only by a sea of bowed heads, muttering ‘Are you sure?’ Winners and losers were duly rewarded plus a great many others carrying away their raffle prizes. To take part in our next one, keep a November Saturday free and an eye on the Village Voice for the date. In the meantime, try these from the last quiz, but remember, no reference books are allowed on the night.
1. Who was Henry VIII’s fifth wife?
2. Which building aid was invented by John Rawlings?
3. Who wrote the Rolling Stones’ I wanna be your man?
4. To which USA state was London Bridge famously sold?
5. In which decade was the California Gold Rush?
Stewart promises all the answers for our next issue.
